Canadian Forest Products (Canfor) Kootenay operations are located in the Purcell and Rocky Mountains of southeast British Columbia between Golden and the Canada/US border. Dynamic was engaged to develop and implement an avalanche safety program for Canfor’s forest operations in the Kootenay region. This involved preparing a regional avalanche safety plan and completing avalanche risk assessments. We then delivered avalanche training to workers as well as designed and implemented an operational avalanche safety program with regular avalanche hazard forecasts and avalanche control.
