Project: Outdoor Adventure Program: Avalanche Safety Plan

Client: College of the Rockies

The College of the Rockies (COTR) runs outdoor adventure training programs in sections of the Selkirk, Purcell, and Rocky Mountain ranges of BC and Alberta. Dynamic was retained to provide an avalanche safety plan outlining the measures undertaken to identify and mitigate the risk presented by avalanches to COTR staff and students during the operation of these programs. We determined acceptable exposure levels to staff and students, identified and evaluated risks, and implemented safety strategies and appropriate emergency responses.
