Project: Alyeska Resort Chair 6 Replacement – Assessment of Snow Creep & Glide Loads on Towers

Alyeska Resort, Alaska replaced an existing fixed-grip chair with a new high-speed detachable quad in the summer of 2013. Servicing high volumes of skiers and riders, this provides primary lift access to the upper mountain trails at Alyeska Resort. It is located in an area that receives heavy annual snowfall, and was previously affected by snow creep and glide loads in November 2007. Dynamic performed an analysis of creep and glide loads and made recommendations for mitigation.
