Yuri started work in the avalanche industry in 2012 as a ski patroller near Canmore, AB. He had 10 years of experience as an avalanche technician at various ski resorts before joining the Dynamic team in 2022. He holds a bachelor of applied Ecotourism and Outdoor Leadership from Mount Royal University in Calgary, AB, and is an advanced drone pilot under Transport Canada's RPAS regulations. He has extensive experience conducting avalanche risk assessments, avalanche hazard mapping, operational forecasting, and avalanche control using various deployment methods. Yuri is based in the East Kootenay area of Southern BC as a lead technician.
