Kelsea holds a BASc in Geological Engineering from the University of British Columbia and a Master of Resource Management from Simon Fraser University, where she specialized in improving snowpack models that support avalanche forecasting. She began working in the avalanche industry in 2019 in the mechanized ski sector and concurrently worked as a geotechnical engineer-in-training, specializing in rock mechanics for mining, highway, and construction projects across North America. Kelsea’s passion for bridging avalanche research and industry practice led her to join Dynamic Avalanche Consulting in 2024.
