Dan was born and raised in Canmore, AB, to parents who also worked in the avalanche industry. With a BASc in Geological Engineering from the University of British Columbia, he has previously held positions as a geotechnical engineer on various mining, power, and construction projects worldwide. Since joining Dynamic Avalanche Consulting in 2018, Dan has gained operational and engineering related avalanche experience for projects in Canada, the USA, Japan, Argentina and New Zealand. He is also a certified ski guide with the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides. Dan is based out of our Revelstoke, BC office.
